Thing #23

I have enjoyed learning about the 23 things. There is so much more to learn about each of these 23 things . My main goal was to learn as much about web 2.0 as possible, have fun, and to finish before CSLA starts web 3.0!

I work at an alternative school, and I feel that one way to develop rapport with my students is to understand how they use technology to communicate. I used my web 2.0 tools when I was in charge of creating a Yearbook DVD last year.I
I will continue to work on my blog, and read other library blogs. Our county office of education blocks my blog, Gmail, YouTube, and many other educational sites. Eventually I hope to work with our county office of education to unblock some of these valuable sites. I plan to continue to work on the the liblogary, and try to keep up with the latest web 2.0 tools for education. Our school bought IXL math, Brainpop, Discovery Education, California Streaming and Study Island. I was in charge of imlementing all of this software. I put each student into their class rosters, created passwords for teachers and students, and showed the teachers how to use the software. It took a while to figure everything out and I gained the confidence to do this with School Library Learning web 2.0.

Thanks so much to CSLA and to our CSLA cheerleaders who helped keep me going! I decided to finally finish everything before the CSLA conference which started today. I plan to attend the conference tomorrow.
See you tomorrow!

Kandice, CONGRATULATIONS! You have successfully completed School Library Learning 2.0.

Want to check out the version we have created for teens? Teen Learning 2.0 is teacher and teen tested -- and has only ten topics. We put it on edublogs so it could get through school filters. See http://teenlearning.csla.net

Hope you enjoyed conference. It was great.
Best wishes. - Jackie

Congratulations on completing the SLL 2.0 tutorial! I am confident that you will continue to find many uses for the tools you learned about and that you will keep finding more great new tools. Now that you have finished, do consider promoting the Classroom Learning 2.0 tutorial to teachers and the Teen Learning 2.0 tutorial to students.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
