Still on thing #5 , week #9

I cannot believe how much time has past since I tried playing with flickr. I need to work on this, but it is difficult since flickr is still blocked at my school district. Does anyone know of a different site to post photos that is not typically blocked at schools?

Many of us are learning and posting from home, public library, Starbucks, and other non-school locations. Partly because of district Internet policies and filtering restrictions. You are taking a professional development course, so you should alert your district IT person to your needs, including specific web 2.0 sites to "unblock."

Best wishes.

Hi there,

Have you ever tried Picasa on Google? I don't think it would be blocked at schools, as it is part of Google and it's not as much of a social photo network as Flickr. It also includes some basic photo editing tools and you can share albums with friends and family.

Hi Librarymum,
I have not tried Picasa but I will tomorrow at my work computer. Thanks! I have spent hours on this slow old laptop with windows 98 here at home. It took an hour to finally upload a photo. Now I am trying to send pictures to my blog.
Maybe Picasa will be the answer!
